Nancy L. Graupner has been honing her skills as a nature photographer since 2010. She combines a keen eye for unusual details with an innate sense of composition to create truly one-of-a-kind images. Capturing intimate scenes such as a snapping turtle laying her eggs or a chickadee hollowing out its nest and sharing these moments with the viewer is one of Nancy’s goals. She is also drawn to the abstract designs she frequently sees in nature such as reflections, shapes and textures. As with anything, nature photography takes a lot of patience and a lot of time just being outside in order to come across these opportunities.
Nancy held her first solo show at Groton Open Studio in June of 2012, which included over sixty prints. She has exhibited her work at local regional art shows and internationally in photography competitions and has won several awards
